About Me
I am a husband and father of three young children with a small hobby farm near Greenville, SC. I have a passion for meaningful experiences for my kids and family that will produce positive core memories for all of us, while teaching critical life skills to the kids.
Professionally, I'm a finance and accounting leader who has found my passion in leading and developing talent, driving impactful culture changes, and building relationships across organizations. I do this through open vulnerability, empathy, empowerment, and ensuring I support others in their pursuit of success.
I started my career at a Big 4 accounting firm where hard work and long hours are rewarded with more difficult jobs and longer hours. I got the opportunity to work in Brisbane, Australia where I saw first hand a paradigm shift where they work to live, not live to work. Providing people with the freedom and trust to get the job done on their terms enabled so much drive and team success, that I vowed to lead differently, and have carried that with me ever since.
Since then, I've worked at a variety of large Fortune 500 companies in accounting, FP&A, and Investor Relations and have developed a passion for helping others obtain success.
My Mission
Across many years, I've seen people chasing dreams not of their own, but of societal definitions or an outdated vision that they have never questioned. I understand it because I was living it too, and it took getting married, having kids, and landing executive positions to realize that I was chasing an old version of success also. Now I'm on a journey to redefine success for myself that involves helping others, creating a life of freedom for me and my family, and growing our family farm. It's a self-directed life journey that I want others to experience for themselves.
The default path isn't the only one...but it may be the only one you can see without an uncomfortable push from a guide who has been on the path before you. Let me be a beacon of light for you to see there is another way.
I created Beacon Leadership out of a passion for helping others to define success in their own lives, provide tangible steps and strategies for personal and professional progress, and create a group of like-minded individuals to maximize the opportunity for growth.
At Beacon Leadership, I believe in the power of personal leadership to transform lives. My focus is on guiding individuals to prioritize self-care and family values, enabling them to excel in their careers. Through my coaching program, I aim to illuminate the path to success and empower individuals to become beacons of light and leadership in all facets of their lives.
